Mega2560:

  •   a Pulse Width Modulated signal is used following the same scheme.

  • a potentiomer changes the Compared value

PIC32:

  •   a Pulse Width Modulated signal is produced thanks to the Output Compare registers - it is directly connected to a PC 'beeper' HP. I know this is very weak but I didn't/couldn't spend time on further electronics. More quality could be reached in the future, by using a pure sinewave and a little bit more electronic components.

  •   7 keys to set the Compared value - these are defined to A-B-C-D-E-F-G usual notes.

8-bits Synthesizer

07/2013: these were my first tests using my PIC32mxf412 and my Mega2560 boards in order to produce/create sound and audio effects.

12/2014: checkout my updated version using the STM32F103, as I made substantial progress on the toolchain regarding this particular microcontrollers.
